About the Business

Unifying Order Intake, Production, and Distribution

For more than 20 years, Taff Guard has been a trusted provider of industrial filtration solutions across North America. Serving industries such as automotive, aerospace, medical, HVAC servicing, and commercial facilities, the company is known for its reliable turnaround times, competitive pricing, and ability to support both custom and high-volume production runs. As demand increased and product lines expanded, the limitations of their legacy Microsoft Access system created operational bottlenecks that hindered scale and efficiency.

Challenge

By early 2022, Taff Guard found that their existing system could not easily adapt to ongoing changes in business needs, limiting their ability to evolve alongside modern manufacturing demands.

Siloed Departments & Limited Visibility

Even though sales, warehouse, production, and accounting teams had access to shared order information, the system was slow, frequently crashed, and lacked clarity. As a result, teams still relied on phone calls and one-off emails to confirm order status, leading to delays and errors.

Lack of Reporting, Forecasting & Automation

Leadership operated without real-time dashboards or automated workflows. Reporting was entirely manual, limiting strategic planning and operational oversight. Including demand forecast, production planning and supply chain management

Scalability & Accessibility Constraints

With the company expanding and hybrid work becoming standard, remote access and system reliability became ongoing challenges. Taff Guard needed a cloud-based platform that could solve existing problems and support future growth.

The Implementation Journey

The transformation began in May 2022 with an eight-week roadmap to migrate from Microsoft Access to Salesforce. Through targeted workshops, Terrabbit gained a holistic understanding of Taff Guard’s order-to-shipment lifecycle.

A Modern Platform Aligned for Manufacturing Workflows

Within two months, Terrabbit delivered a purpose-built Sales Cloud environment that unified data, standardized pricing and shipping logic, and aligned operational workflows across departments.

Major capabilities included:

  • A redefined lead, account, and contact lifecycle reflecting Taff Guard’s qualification process
  • Streamlined order creation with standardized tax, freight, and pricing rules
  • Additional features supporting manufacturing, assembly, and shipment processes
  • Automated document generation (S-Docs)
  • Automated label printing at the product level
  • A single source of truth ensuring operational consistency between sales, warehouse, and production

The system went live in July 2022, supported by comprehensive training to ensure adoption and minimize change fatigue.
